About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential SaaS organization seeking an experienced Communications Lead to own and elevate their external communications strategy. This is a remote-first role based in the United States, reporting to the Director of Communications.

In this highly strategic position, you'll shape and deliver the company's narrative across all earned and owned media channels. You'll partner with executives, product marketing, social, and brand marketing teams to develop communication strategies that support key brand moments and product launches while driving share of voice across major media partners and publications.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with executives, customers, investors, and leadership to develop key narratives, secure buy-in on communications strategy, and activate across all earned and owned media channels
  • Oversee and execute all aspects of external communications strategy, including developing media plans, coordinating press opportunities, and ensuring consistent messaging across every channel
  • Own executive voice strategy by partnering directly with the C-suite on press opportunities, speeches, op-eds, and thought leadership
  • Lead external press relations by managing PR agencies to deliver strategic, measurable results
  • Develop and maintain lasting relationships with key business and technology media
  • Advise the executive team on communications strategy and thought leadership opportunities, preparing them for media interviews and public engagements
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and other teams to amplify major campaigns and company milestones

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • 8+ years of experience in communications, PR, and/or brand leadership roles at high-growth or enterprise technology companies
  • Track record of shaping and executing external communications strategies
  • Deep understanding of the technology industry with ability to translate complex concepts into clear, compelling narratives
  • Proven success managing PR agencies to deliver measurable results in media coverage and reputation impact

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in executive voice and thought leadership
  • Strong media relations experience and established relationships with key business and tech journalists
  • Experience building and executing crisis communications plans with judgment to advise executives in high-pressure moments
  • Ability to measure communications impact using data to guide strategy
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative approach that enables seamless partnership across internal teams
  • Curiosity and openness to growth, with proactive embrace of emerging technologies

Pay

This is a full-time, permanent, exempt position. Our client has structured compensation into geographic zones based on cost of labor. The client's base pay ranges are:

  • Zone A: $184,000 - $230,000
  • Zone B: $172,500 - $216,000
  • Zone C: $161,500 - $202,000

This role is also eligible for the company's bonus program, with target amounts based on a percentage of base salary. The client offers equity (RSUs), comprehensive health coverage, 12 weeks paid parental leave, flexible vacation, 401(k) with employer match up to $6,000/year, and monthly stipends for work and wellness expenses.
