Network Engineer (Firewall, Proxy & Cisco Network Services, Remote)

Responsibilities

Our client, a confidential enterprise technology organization, is seeking a Network Engineer to support and manage critical network infrastructure operations remotely from Czechia. You'll be responsible for:

• Administering and maintaining perimeter and internal firewalls, including security policies, access rules, NAT configurations, and interface management
• Performing firewall upgrades, patching, maintenance, and lifecycle planning activities
• Implementing firewall changes through structured change management processes
• Configuring and troubleshooting VPN solutions, including Site-to-Site VPNs and remote access connectivity
• Conducting firewall rule reviews and supporting security policy optimization efforts
• Managing enterprise proxy infrastructure, including configuration changes, maintenance, and software updates
• Supporting non-proxy application integrations and custom configurations
• Troubleshooting connectivity issues and resolving incidents across firewall, proxy, and network services
• Administering enterprise LAN/WLAN infrastructure, including switches, VLANs, routing, Wireless LAN Controllers, and Access Points
• Performing firmware upgrades, patching, and performance optimization across network environments
• Supporting DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management services
• Administering Network Access Control solutions and access policies
• Supporting MPLS connectivity and enterprise network integrations
• Collaborating with stakeholders to analyze requirements and implement appropriate network solutions

What We're Looking For

• Several years of hands-on experience with Check Point Firewalls, including security policies, VPNs, upgrades, and troubleshooting
• Strong knowledge of proxy technologies and network security concepts
• Practical experience with Cisco LAN and WLAN technologies, including switching, routing, VLANs, WLCs, and Access Points
• Solid understanding of VPN, MPLS, NAC, DNS, DHCP, and IPAM services
• Experience working with enterprise network infrastructure and IT service management processes
• Experience with change management and structured network troubleshooting methodologies
• Fluent English, both written and spoken
• Knowledge of Tufin or similar firewall policy management solutions is advantageous
• Check Point CCSA/CCSE or Cisco CCNA/CCNP certification is a plus
• Experience in large enterprise environments and ITIL-based operations preferred
• Russian language skills are a bonus
• Ability to provide a clear criminal record certificate no older than 3 months
