About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential mathematical optimization software company seeking an Account Executive to drive growth across the European market. Our talent team is partnering with this organization to identify a sales professional who can develop new business opportunities, expand customer relationships, and help organizations leverage advanced optimization technology to solve complex challenges.
Working remotely from Germany, you will own a broad commercial territory and execute strategic plans to grow pipeline across SMB accounts. This role demands a consultative approach, strong prospecting capabilities, and the ability to navigate technical sales cycles while building relationships with both technical users and executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Own and execute sales strategy across your assigned territory, developing proactive plans to generate new business and expand existing customer accounts
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through outbound prospecting, account-based selling, referrals, partner relationships, networking, and marketing-generated leads
- Identify and prioritize high-value commercial accounts, creating demand in markets with varying levels of brand awareness
- Execute land-and-expand strategies by identifying new buying centers, upsell opportunities, and cross-functional use cases within existing customers
- Manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, partnering with technical users and executive decision-makers to deliver business value
- Act as a trusted advisor, understanding customer challenges and positioning optimization technology to meet their objectives
- Collaborate with technical account managers, marketing, and product teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences throughout the sales process
- Represent our client at customer meetings, conferences, trade shows, and industry events
- Maintain accurate opportunity management, forecasting, and customer activity within Salesforce
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitive activity, and developments within optimization, analytics, and enterprise software
What We're Looking For
Required Experience:
- 5–7 years of B2B SaaS sales or SMB/enterprise account management with proven track record exceeding revenue targets
- Experience selling complex or technical software solutions into SMB/enterprise organizations
- Experience engaging technical, analytics, engineering, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, or optimization-related buying centers
- Demonstrated success managing long, consultative sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Key Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency delivering presentations and training sessions effectively
- Expertise in negotiation to secure favorable outcomes
- Strong conflict resolution skills to protect customer experience
- Ability to create compelling value propositions for partners
- Strategic and analytical thinking to assess decisions' internal and external impact
- Proficiency using data to plan and execute strategies effectively
- Ability to operate effectively from a home office in a remote work environment
- Willingness to travel throughout Nordics/Benelux for customer meetings, partner engagements, and industry events, with occasional international travel
- Ability to participate in meetings across different time zones within reasonable expectations
Technical Requirements:
- Fluency with macOS, Microsoft 365, and Power BI
- Comfortable learning and utilizing Salesforce CRM
- Comfortable working in an international setting and with a US-based company
- Valid passport and ability to obtain necessary international travel documents where applicable
