Trainee AI Engineering in der Unternehmensberatung

Responsibilities

As a Trainee AI Engineer, you will work with enterprise clients to develop AI and software solutions from requirements analysis through to client presentation. Your role will include:

• Developing AI and software solutions based on established solution frameworks alongside experienced architects
• Consulting clients on AI strategy and data utilization after completing your onboarding period
• Implementing new solutions as part of a collaborative team
• Delivering compelling presentations to clients based on your team's work
• Following established processes and methodologies in client engagements

The onboarding period typically lasts 4-6 months, during which you will be allocated 12 hours per week for a structured training program and must successfully complete multiple certifications. Additional personal learning time outside of work hours may be required.

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks candidates with strong mathematical foundations and programming expertise:

• Master's degree or PhD in Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline with demonstrable mathematical focus
• Specialization in stochastics or numerical methods
• Fluent German and English (Unicert C1/C2 level)
• Multiple years of programming experience in Python, Java, Kotlin, Go, or Rust
• Strong experience with Linux and command-line tools
• Well-maintained GitHub account with sustained contributions to open-source projects
• Service-oriented personality with enthusiasm for client interaction
• Strong presentation skills
• Curiosity and passion for complex applications and data analysis
• Communicative and team-oriented approach
• Willingness to travel (less than 2 days per month)
• Desirable: initial experience with AI agents or machine learning
