About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential corporate AV services organization with a prestigious central London venue. Our talent team is seeking an experienced Senior AV Technician to join their permanent operations. This role offers the opportunity to work within a high-profile corporate environment, supporting cutting-edge audiovisual and video conferencing systems while leading technical escalations and event delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Act as technical escalation point for troubleshooting complex AV and VC system issues
  • Perform daily room checks considering criticality and known hardware issues
  • Manage client escalations with clear communication between stakeholders
  • Complete detailed documentation for jobs attended and communicate faults clearly to helpdesk and clients
  • Fault-find audiovisual and video conferencing systems to advanced levels under pressure
  • Maintain site surveys and asset registers
  • Run AV events including pre-event testing of audio, wireless microphones, and equipment
  • Serve as primary contact for event coordination and liaise with clients to understand requirements
  • Attend pre-production meetings and support global production events
  • Operate high-profile events and act as trusted advisor to meeting hosts
  • Set up and support video/audio conferences ensuring timely connections with quality transmission
  • Perform site certification of new and relocated video conference systems
  • Carry out software updates and investigate faults on VC systems

What We're Looking For

  • Strong knowledge of collaboration platforms: Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Polycom, Google Meet
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot videoconference hardware (Microsoft Teams, Webex, Poly, Logitech) including audio feedback and video issues
  • Proficiency with UC PCs, Polycom, Logitech, Crestron Flex VC solutions, Biamp Tesira, Q-SYS, and Extron
  • AVIXA CTS certification preferred; Microsoft Certification desirable
  • AV installation experience is beneficial
  • Proven experience delivering support services to large corporate customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to explain technical issues clearly
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with flexibility for last-minute requests
  • Professional appearance and attitude with exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining service excellence with clients at all seniority levels
  • Capability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Willingness to undergo security screening (BPSS and SC)
  • Availability to work shift patterns between 07:30 and 21:00

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: £42,000 - £44,000 annually, plus bonus and comprehensive benefits package.
