Product Owner (m/f/d) – Medical AI

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential MedTech organization seeking a Product Owner for an AI-based medical device. In this role, you will own the product lifecycle from feature scoping through implementation, launch, and international rollout. You will serve as the bridge between medical, regulatory, and AI development teams.

Your responsibilities include:

• Translating medical and business requirements into clear technical specifications and maintaining a prioritized product backlog based on input from users, markets, and internal stakeholders
• Supporting the medical device regulation process by providing technical and product input for decisions on intended use, risk assessment, and output presentation
• Owning the software requirements specification and collaborating closely with AI engineers to specify and integrate certified AI systems into the product
• Working with cross-functional teams to launch the device across multiple markets, adapting to local requirements and regulations
• Acting as the central coordination point ensuring smooth execution and alignment across medical, regulatory, and technical teams

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks candidates with:

• A technical background or hands-on experience with software and API specifications, with the ability to move fluidly between technical AI/engineering details and regulatory, medical, and business perspectives
• Relevant experience in product management or a comparable role, ideally with exposure to AI products, regulated environments (such as medical device regulations), or product internationalization
• Strong ownership mentality and structured working approach, with the drive to push initiatives forward while collaborating effectively with teams
• Comfort working in a startup environment, balancing pragmatism with necessary structure
• Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus but not required)
• Ability to translate complex requirements bidirectionally between technical and non-technical stakeholders
