Senior Electronics Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential aerospace technology organization with operations in Munich. Our talent team is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join an interdisciplinary hardware engineering team developing advanced avionics and electronic systems for autonomous aerial platforms.

This senior-level role offers the opportunity to take ownership of complex electronic modules from concept through mass production, working on cutting-edge flight controllers, sensor systems, and vision technologies. You'll collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver high-reliability hardware for defense and enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and validate advanced avionics PCBs, sensors, and electronic modules for autonomous platforms, driving concepts from initial ideation through detailed design and manufacturing readiness
• Plan and execute comprehensive PCB and product verification activities, including test strategy definition, execution, and documentation; perform electrical and mechanical validation such as EMI/EMC compliance testing, thermal cycling, mechanical shock testing, and HALT analysis
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, including design concepts, schematics and CAD drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, and repair manuals
• Collaborate closely with test engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to ensure smooth transition of hardware designs from development to volume production
• Work with product management and customer success teams to align system architecture and interfaces, define electronics requirements, and incorporate feedback from field deployments into design improvements
• Coach and mentor junior engineers to achieve technical excellence and develop best practices within the team

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
• 4+ years of experience in PCB design and electronic product development, including prototyping, layout, and driving products from concept through production
• Proven expertise in high-density and mixed-signal PCB design, with broad understanding of signal and power integrity
• Hands-on experience with PCB verification and testing processes, covering signal integrity analysis and EMC troubleshooting
• Proficiency with Altium Designer is highly desirable
• Experience with high power applications, ESCs and lithium batteries is an advantage
• Hands-on, solution-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to address technical challenges independently
• Experience collaborating in cross-functional hardware/software teams
• Excellent problem-solving, communication (English), and project management skills
