Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology organization in Dresden that develops sophisticated communication and transmission systems. As a Test Automation Engineer, you will work at the intersection of software, electronics, and digital hardware in a technically challenging environment.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Developing and automating tests for complex communication and electronic systems
• Focusing on component-level and device-level testing
• Continuously improving existing test frameworks to enhance reliability and maintainability
• Analyzing technical requirements and deriving suitable test scenarios that translate into automated test workflows
• Integrating automated tests into existing development and CI/CD processes
• Supporting the analysis and evaluation of test results, systematically identifying root causes of failures

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks a candidate who thrives on understanding complex technical systems and enjoys finding solutions where multiple technical disciplines converge.

Required skills and experience:

• Proven experience in software development with a focus on implementing automated tests, test frameworks, or test systems
• Deep expertise in Python programming
• Confident working knowledge of Robot Framework
• Strong understanding of regression and acceptance testing
• Ability to analyze technical requirements and derive systematic, traceable test scenarios
• Experience with Git version control and Continuous Integration practices
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems
• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or comparable technical discipline
• Excellent German and English language skills
