Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential software organization in Karlsruhe seeking an IT System Administrator to maintain and advance their technical infrastructure. In this role, you will:
- Operate, maintain, and develop IT infrastructure including servers, networks, cloud environments, and workstations
- Ensure stable, secure, and high-performance system operations
- Collaborate on advancing the information security management system (ISMS) with the information security officer
- Monitor systems, analyze errors, and resolve incidents quickly
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and IT resources
- Support IT security measures including backups, updates, and policies
- Automate processes to increase efficiency
- Collaborate with internal teams and provide IT support to employees
- Document systems and processes thoroughly
What We're Looking For
- Completed IT education or degree (such as IT Specialist for System Integration) or comparable professional experience
- Experience administering Windows and/or Linux systems
- Knowledge of networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS is advantageous
- Understanding of IT security and best practices
- Structured, independent working style
- Problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
- Team orientation and service-minded attitude
- German language proficiency required for this Karlsruhe-based position
