UX/AI Design Contractor

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital consulting client seeking a UX/UI Design Contractor to support sprint-based client engagements. This is an ongoing, ad hoc role where you'll execute design work under the direction of senior advisors across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Engagements typically run in 4-week sprints at 8–16 hours per week, with work rolling from one sprint or client project to the next as needs arise. You'll focus on delivering defined scope—wireframes, flows, visual designs, and UI components—rather than owning end-to-end strategy.

Responsibilities

• Execute UX/UI design work within sprint-based engagements under the guidance of lead advisors
• Produce wireframes, user flows, and supporting documentation for feature requests and project needs
• Create high-fidelity visual designs, UI kit components, and design system elements
• Take work from early exploration through execution and development handoff as scoped
• Collaborate with advisors, project managers, researchers, and developers to deliver assigned work
• Leverage modern design tools, including AI-assisted workflows, to improve efficiency
• Flex across multiple concurrent or sequential client projects as sprint needs shift
• Prepare design files for development handoff with specs, annotations, and interaction notes

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 4–6+ years of experience in UX, UI, product design, or a closely related field
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design work across websites, applications, or digital products
• Experience creating low-fidelity wireframes, user flows, and information architecture deliverables
• Track record of producing quality UI design work, including high-fidelity screens and component-based systems
• Ability to apply direction from research findings, stakeholder input, and usability insights
• Solid visual design skills including typography, layout, hierarchy, spacing, color, accessibility, and responsive design
• Familiarity with design systems, component libraries, and scalable file organization
• Comfort preparing design files for development handoff
• Familiarity with AI-powered tools and how they support design exploration, synthesis, documentation, and workflow efficiency
• Availability to flex on and off projects on a sprint cadence, sometimes with short lead time

Nice to have:

• Motion graphics experience, including animation and micro-interactions
• Comfort with analytics and CRO design principles
