Responsibilities
Our client, a federal contractor supporting critical environmental conservation initiatives, needs a Senior Scrum Master to drive agile delivery on a complex data integration program. You'll serve as the team's process facilitator and delivery enabler, managing sprint cadence, removing blockers, and ensuring seamless coordination across multiple overlapping workstreams and cross-agency stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
- Lead workstream management across all project phases, ensuring technical dependencies are identified, sequenced, and resolved
- Facilitate sprint planning, backlog management, and velocity tracking for cross-functional teams
- Manage risk and defect logs in a compliance-gated delivery environment
- Remove impediments and escalate complex integration, compliance, and architecture issues
- Support executive-level government demonstrations and briefing materials
- Coordinate across multiple agencies and stakeholder groups to maintain delivery momentum
- Provide oversight of production migration planning and cutover execution
- Contribute to operational playbook development covering system maintenance procedures and incident response protocols
This is a fully remote position supporting a 12-month period of performance with potential for follow-on work.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Bachelor's degree and 8 years' experience; Master's and 6 years; PhD and 3 years; or High School diploma/equivalent and 12 years' experience
- 8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile delivery lead
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification
- Proven experience facilitating Agile delivery on federal government IT programs
- Strong understanding of sprint planning, backlog management, and velocity tracking
- Experience managing risk and defect logs in compliance-gated environments
- Experience supporting government executive-level demonstrations and briefing materials
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or SAFe Agilist (SA) certification
- Familiarity with multi-agency federal programs
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar agile project management tools
- Active Public Trust Clearance
