About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing consumer brand in the sports retail sector, based in Munich. Our client is seeking a Head of Business Operations or Senior Business Operations Manager to drive revenue planning and cross-functional alignment across their direct-to-consumer operations. This is a critical role that acts as the central hub connecting multiple marketing and commercial teams to deliver ambitious growth targets.

Responsibilities

• Translate monthly and quarterly D2C revenue targets into actionable weekly and daily plans with specific product and campaign allocations
• Develop target proposals for executive leadership approval
• Maintain and optimize the product and promotional calendar, accounting for cross-team processes and deadlines
• Coordinate lead times across five independent teams (E-commerce & UX, CRM, Performance Marketing, Brand & Marketing, Technology)
• Identify and resolve timeline deviations proactively before they impact performance
• Lead weekly trading review sessions with stakeholders
• Analyze operational challenges and develop solutions collaboratively with team leads
• Support expansion of planning frameworks to additional sales channels including wholesale and marketplace platforms
• Make independent decisions on promotional calendars, discount structures, and team prioritization within established guardrails

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of professional experience in business operations, consulting, chief of staff roles, commercial planning, or program management in complex organizational environments
• Fluency in German and English (spoken and written) is required
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret numbers and drive business judgment, not just report data
• Exceptional organizational skills to align five independent teams, identify dependencies early, and maintain alignment
• Critical thinking mindset that challenges the status quo and contributes original ideas rather than simply executing plans
• Structured, forward-thinking approach to planning and problem-solving
• Strong communication and influencing skills to engage experienced team leads as peers while respecting their technical expertise
• Background in performance marketing, content operations, or e-commerce technology is valuable but not mandatory
• Interest in the sports or retail sector is a plus
