Business Analyst (Data & AI)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology organization that has made significant investments in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Our talent team is seeking a Business Analyst to join their specialized innovation division.

In this role, you will:

• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, data scientists, and data engineers to ensure technical builds align with strategic business goals
• Lead the gathering and validation of complex requirements for data-driven applications, analytics dashboards, and AI/ML model deployment
• Produce high-quality documentation including functional and non-functional specifications, user stories, and source-to-target mappings
• Create detailed wireframes and mockups to visualize data interfaces and reporting tools, facilitating early stakeholder feedback and alignment
• Utilize strong analytical capabilities to interpret data trends, assess data quality, and define KPIs that quantify the success of AI initiatives
• Identify opportunities to optimize data workflows and integration points across the organization

What We're Looking For

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Information Systems, or a related field
• Proven background in data analytics with understanding of AI and machine learning concepts
• Understanding of the complete data project lifecycle, from ingestion to visualization
• Proficiency in requirements elicitation techniques and the ability to produce comprehensive documentation
• Experience with wireframing and mockup tools such as Figma, Balsamiq, or Miro is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex data and AI concepts to non-technical executives
• Strong stakeholder management abilities
