About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential global diagnostics organization in their search for a Senior Manager, Executive Compensation. This is a remote role with hybrid flexibility for candidates near key U.S. locations. You'll play a strategic role in shaping executive pay programs, managing equity planning cycles, and providing analytical insights that drive compensation decisions across a complex, publicly traded enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Support overall program management and administration of executive compensation, ensuring alignment with company strategy and pay philosophy
- Partner with HR leadership to evaluate executive roles and recommend appropriate job grade and pay positioning for new hires, promotions, and retention cases
- Lead equity planning operations, including cost modeling, execution of planning tools, year-over-year analysis, and calibration reporting
- Manage off-cycle equity requests (retention, sign-on, make-whole, special awards), ensuring proper documentation and internal equity
- Develop materials for Board Compensation Committee meetings, including research, benchmarking analyses, and executive compensation reports
- Conduct market research using publicly disclosed documents (proxies, 10-Ks, 8-Ks) and external survey data to assess competitive positioning
- Oversee participation in third-party executive compensation surveys, including job matching, data validation, and results interpretation
- Independently lead global compensation planning cycles for merit, annual incentive, and long-term equity programs
- Administer the global Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), monitoring eligibility, supporting audits, and processing refunds
- Stay current on governance developments and regulatory changes, translating insights into program enhancements
- Lead M&A due diligence for executive compensation and support integration activities
- Provide guidance to junior team members with potential for direct management responsibilities
What We're Looking For
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years of executive compensation experience, OR Bachelor's degree plus 8+ years of broad-based compensation experience with executive compensation exposure
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Executive Compensation Professional (WorldatWork) or similar designation
- 1+ years of executive compensation consulting firm experience
- Experience in a global public company environment
Core Competencies:
- Well-developed expertise in executive compensation programs and governance
- Advanced Excel skills for data gathering, manipulation, and business analysis
- Advanced PowerPoint skills for creating Board-level presentations
- Strong HRIS experience and technical proficiency
- Ability to read and interpret financial documents including 10-Ks and proxy statements
- Project management capabilities with ability to manage multiple time-sensitive assignments
- Critical attention to data integrity and accuracy
- Strong collaboration, communication, and business consultation skills
- Self-starter with problem-solving ability and outside-the-box thinking
