About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential robotics organization seeking a Computer Applications Engineer to support advanced machine-centric robotic applications across the Western United States. Our talent team is working with a global leader in industrial automation currently undergoing an exciting transformation and investment in AI-driven robotics.
This is a remote position with up to 35% regional travel (Northern California, Pacific Northwest, Southern California). The ideal candidate will be based near a major metro airport in Northern California, Seattle, or Oregon.
Responsibilities
- Partner with sales teams to review customer requirements, propose robotic solutions, and design technical implementations
- Develop and showcase proof-of-concept demonstrations and customer presentations
- Conduct cycle time evaluations, reach studies, and configure PC-centric robotic applications
- Ensure all technical solutions comply with customer specifications and applicable code requirements
- Collaborate with customers, internal teams, and third-party partners to address technical issues and align on project requirements
- Support advanced interfaces for robotic applications using modern software tools and frameworks
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science
- 5+ years of experience developing client/server applications
- Strong technical competency in Linux, Python, JavaScript, and REST APIs
- Experience with AI modeling including datasets, labeling, and training processes
- Comfort presenting and interacting with customers at all levels as well as internal teams (sales, project management, engineering)
- Mechatronic engineering knowledge is desirable
- Automation engineering knowledge is desirable
