E-Commerce Lead

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential robotics technology organization in their search for an E-Commerce Lead based in Singapore. Our client is building innovative open-source robotics platforms and needs a founding commerce professional to launch and own their direct-to-consumer store from zero to one.

This is a full-stack commerce role where you will build the entire storefront, establish the product line, manage fulfillment, and own the business metrics. You'll start with branded merchandise and community products, with a clear path to expand into technical components, kits, and spare parts as the platform grows.

Responsibilities

• Stand up the e-commerce platform from scratch, including platform selection, storefront build, checkout, payments, and tax setup across Singapore, Vietnam, the US, and international markets
• Build the first product line in collaboration with brand and design teams, from apparel and accessories to limited drops
• Own merchandising strategy and the launch calendar, including pricing, product mix, seasonal drops, and alignment with product launches
• Set up and manage fulfillment operations, including print-on-demand, 3PL partnerships, inventory management, packaging, and global shipping logistics
• Own the store P&L, tracking margins, unit economics, and forecasting performance
• Drive growth and conversion through analytics, email and lifecycle campaigns, landing page optimization, and merchandising experiments
• Manage end-to-end customer experience, including support, returns, and post-purchase journey
• Plan the evolution from merchandise into technical product offerings such as kits, spare parts, and modular components
• Ensure all customer touchpoints reflect the brand's technical, open, and community-focused identity

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Proven experience launching or running a direct-to-consumer store, ideally on Shopify, and scaling it from setup to steady operation
• Generalist skill set with ability to move across merchandising, operations, and growth independently
• Comfort with zero-to-one environments where you make decisions, execute, and iterate quickly
• Solid understanding of fulfillment and logistics, including 3PL, print-on-demand, inventory management, and cross-border shipping
• Data fluency with ability to make pricing, margin, and conversion decisions grounded in analytics
• Strong brand and product taste, particularly for technical and design-focused audiences

Preferred qualifications:

• Shopify Plus experience with hands-on comfort using themes, apps, and Liquid
• Existing relationships with print-on-demand and 3PL vendors
• Experience selling physical or hardware products, including spare parts or kit-style catalogs
• Merchandise or community commerce experience for developer, gaming, or open-source brands
• Genuine interest in robotics, open-source technology, and building in public
