Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential renewable energy organization seeking a Senior Investment Analyst to join their team in Köln. In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with Investment Managers to refine investment strategy, evaluate potential investment targets, and identify new market opportunities in the German onshore wind sector
  • Actively participate in sourcing and executing M&A transactions, coordinating deal origination activities including market research and relationship building with developers, advisors, and stakeholders
  • Support due diligence processes encompassing financial, legal, and technical analyses
  • Take ownership of financial modeling throughout the deal lifecycle, including building and maintaining complex financial models, conducting sensitivity and scenario analyses, and preparing investment valuations
  • Assist the investment team in drafting investment proposals, business cases, and presentations for senior management and investment committees
  • Collaborate with internal teams across legal, finance, and technical departments to ensure smooth transaction execution and timely deal closure
  • Conduct industry and market research to stay current on trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics in renewable energy

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Investment Analyst or Associate, preferably with exposure to renewable energy and M&A transactions
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, investment valuation techniques, and financial analysis
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset with ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
