AlmavivA de Belgique seeks experienced cloud systems professionals for hands-on support and administration of Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender, and the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This remote freelance role is ideal for intermediate-level engineers in EU countries seeking technical responsibility for complex cloud infrastructure and platform operations.

Role Overview

This intermediate-level position offers hands-on responsibility for the day-to-day administration and support of critical Microsoft cloud services. You'll join a collaborative team focused on delivering reliable, secure, and well-documented infrastructure across our enterprise Microsoft 365 environment, with particular emphasis on endpoint management, security operations, and platform stability.

What You'll Do

• Manage support tickets and coordinate rapid resolution for issues across SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, Defender, Purview, and Copilot
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation of platform infrastructure, ensuring knowledge is captured as Microsoft releases new features and capabilities
• Monitor system performance, escalate critical issues to Microsoft support when needed, and report on platform status during regular team meetings
• Execute configuration changes and infrastructure updates using PowerShell and automation tools
• Collaborate with the Platform Manager to establish governance frameworks, oversee change management processes, and guide policy implementation
• Coordinate with administrators managing Teams, Exchange, and other Microsoft 365 services to ensure seamless platform integration
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance platform efficiency and user experience
• Support platform migrations, configuration updates, and technical initiatives as required

What You Bring

Proven expertise and hands-on experience in the following areas are essential:

• Microsoft Intune administration: device enrollment strategies (Autopilot, BYOD, corporate-owned), compliance policy creation and enforcement, configuration profiles (Wi-Fi, VPN, certificates, security baselines), application packaging and deployment, Windows Update management, device troubleshooting, and Conditional Access integration
• Microsoft Defender for Endpoint: policy configuration and management, security incident investigation and response, advanced threat hunting using KQL, alert tuning, attack surface reduction rule deployment, device control policies, vulnerability management, and integration with security tools
• Azure Virtual Desktop deployment and operations: host pool configuration, application group management, session optimization using FSLogix, golden image strategy, identity integration with Azure AD or Entra ID, performance troubleshooting, and cost optimization techniques
• Identity and access governance: Conditional Access policy configuration, multi-factor authentication implementation, role-based access control administration, B2B and guest access management, application SSO integration, and monitoring of risky sign-in activity
• Automation using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API
• Understanding of ITSM best practices and IT service management frameworks
• Commitment to data protection, GDPR compliance, and information security principles
• EU citizenship
