Director, Product Management & Strategic Marketing

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential manufacturing technology organization in their search for a Director of Product Management & Strategic Marketing to lead their aftermarket business portfolio. This is a strategic leadership role focused on driving product vision and portfolio strategy across a global aftermarket operation serving the packaging and industrial converting markets.

Our talent team is working directly with this organization to identify an experienced product leader who can unify strategy across multiple business units while championing customer-focused innovation and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead platform product strategy aligned to market trends, customer needs, and business growth objectives
• Oversee product portfolio performance, ensuring strategic investment alignment, legacy product transitions, and identification of growth opportunities
• Lead strategic marketing initiatives for the converting platform as a shared service function
• Facilitate collaboration among product leaders from multiple legacy brands, driving synergies and best practices across offerings
• Champion voice-of-customer processes to inform new product development and service offerings that improve customer uptime, productivity, and sustainability
• Drive full product lifecycle ownership from concept and requirements through development, launch, and end-of-life planning
• Lead and develop a high-performing team of product managers and analysts across multiple geographies and business units
• Partner with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to ensure successful product launches and scaling
• Define key performance metrics and establish data-driven decision-making processes for prioritization and investment

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
• 10+ years of experience in industrial product management or manufacturing solutions
• At least 5 years in a leadership role managing product teams
• Strong understanding of capital equipment, manufacturing systems, and industrial automation
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional product teams in a matrixed or multi-brand environment
• Proven success building and executing product strategies that drive growth and improve customer experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative leadership mindset

Preferred Attributes:

• Familiarity with the printing, packaging, converting, or related manufacturing sectors
• Experience working across legacy brand cultures within a unified platform model
• Deep customer empathy and passion for operational improvement and innovation
• Ability to travel approximately 25% across domestic and international locations

Pay

The target compensation range for this position is $185,000 - $200,000 annually, depending on experience. Our client offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and 401k with company match, all starting on day one.
