Senior Business Developer (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential food-tech organization based in Berlin. As Senior Business Developer, you will identify new business opportunities, advance existing business areas, and drive key initiatives from analysis through implementation. Working at the intersection of strategy, commercial development, and execution, you will collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teams including Commercial, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Product, and Technology.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Identifying and evaluating growth opportunities, markets, partnerships, and business concepts
• Analyzing performance metrics and developing clear business cases with actionable recommendations
• Taking ownership of cross-functional projects from goal definition through measurable results
• Coordinating stakeholders, removing blockers, and creating clarity around priorities and accountabilities
• Improving processes and supporting the launch of new products, brands, locations, and markets
• Identifying meaningful applications for automation, AI, and new tools, then driving their implementation

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks an experienced business generalist from backgrounds such as Business Development, Commercial Strategy, Consulting, Business Operations, or high-growth startup environments.

Required qualifications:

• Multiple years of experience in a commercial, strategic, analytical, or operational role
• Strong commercial judgment and instinct for market potential and business opportunities
• Proven ability to structure complex topics, develop recommendations, and drive projects to completion
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills with stakeholder management experience
• Hands-on working style with high ownership and consistent follow-through
• Ability to create impact without formal authority
• Proficiency with data, spreadsheets, dashboards, presentations, and business tools
• Fluent German and professional-level English required

Helpful but not required: Experience in food delivery, platform business models, retail, hospitality, quick-service restaurants, or fast-growing startups
