Commercial Senior Legal Counsel

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential hyperscale data centre organization seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to support commercial operations across the APAC and Middle East region. This long-term secondment combines hands-on contracting with strategic legal oversight, providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial lawyer to work with cutting-edge infrastructure and technology matters in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

The successful candidate will partner with operations, technology, and corporate services teams to deliver pragmatic legal advice on complex procurement, regulatory compliance, and commercial agreements across multiple jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice on commercial, procurement, and operational matters, partnering with business stakeholders to support key initiatives
• Draft, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements with customers, suppliers, and service providers across multiple business functions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver practical, risk-based legal solutions that enable commercial outcomes and support business growth
• Advise on legal and regulatory matters relating to technology, data, privacy, intellectual property, cybersecurity, and other evolving compliance areas
• Develop and enhance legal processes, contract templates, guidance materials, and training to improve efficiency, consistency, and governance
• Identify and manage legal risk across complex projects, while monitoring regulatory developments and supporting the implementation of best-practice compliance frameworks

What We're Looking For

• Admitted to practice with strong experience gained in a leading law firm and/or in-house legal team, advising on a broad range of commercial matters
• Proven ability to deliver pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice and manage complex legal issues in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Experience supporting commercial contracting, procurement, or technology-related matters
• Exposure to privacy, intellectual property, cybersecurity, or regulatory issues viewed favourably
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Experience across APAC jurisdictions is advantageous
