Senior Project Manager

SGS is hiring a Senior Project Manager to join our Livonia, MI-based team in a full-time, remote position. This role combines strategic project leadership with customer-focused execution, bridging our sales and support functions to deliver exceptional results for every client engagement.

Role Overview

As Senior Project Manager at SGS, you will own the end-to-end delivery of customer projects, translating sales commitments into successful outcomes. This is a leadership role that demands both strategic thinking and hands-on project coordination. You'll partner with sales teams to understand client objectives, work with support and delivery teams to execute flawlessly, and maintain client confidence throughout the project lifecycle. Your ability to anticipate challenges, communicate transparently, and drive teams toward shared goals will be central to your success.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans covering scope, timeline, budget, and resource requirements
• Manage day-to-day project execution, including task assignment, progress tracking, and milestone completion
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, keeping them informed and aligned throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate with internal departments—sales, support, delivery, and operations—to ensure smooth collaboration and resource availability
• Identify project risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and adapt plans when circumstances change
• Conduct thorough project closeouts, capture lessons learned, and recommend process improvements

Skills & Qualifications

• Professional project management experience, ideally in client-facing roles or sales-support environments
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining quality and stakeholder satisfaction
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills across diverse audiences
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches
• Proficiency with project management software, Microsoft Office, and enterprise platforms
