Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential digital services organization seeking a Senior Account Manager to drive growth in the Hamburg region. In this role, you will identify and develop business opportunities with new and existing clients, primarily within the public sector. You will own the full sales cycle from strategy development through contract negotiation, building lasting client relationships that contribute directly to organizational success.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing sales strategies for infrastructure and service solutions targeting public sector clients and IT service providers in Northern Germany
- Identifying business opportunities, building trusted client relationships, and achieving agreed sales targets
- Managing the complete tender and proposal process, from bid strategy and pricing through client presentation
- Conducting proactive sales campaigns and positioning solutions with key decision-makers
- Preparing for and leading client meetings both on-site and remotely, converting identified needs into concrete sales opportunities
- Collaborating closely with bid management, pre-sales, delivery teams, and external partners to develop optimal client solutions
- Maintaining accurate CRM documentation and providing regular reporting on accounts and opportunities
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate brings at least 4 years of experience in sales, account management, or a comparable client-facing role with demonstrable sales achievements. You should have a proven track record of identifying and expanding business opportunities.
Required qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of the public sector landscape in Northern Germany, ideally with established contacts among public IT service providers
- Solid understanding of data center infrastructure sales and data center operations
- Familiarity with current digitalization topics and developments within the public sector
- Experience with public procurement procedures and tender processes
- Proactive, self-directed, and solution-oriented working style
- Excellent German language skills, both written and spoken
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
