Werkstudent Finance & Controlling (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a working student to support their Finance & Controlling operations. In this role, you will contribute to critical financial processes and help maintain efficient, transparent workflows.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the finance team with bookkeeping and preparation of monthly and annual financial statements using modern cloud-based platforms
• Contributing to financial analysis and reporting for both operational controlling and business intelligence purposes that inform strategic decisions
• Assisting with preparation and execution of financing rounds and investor reporting for international partners
• Actively participating in the development of reporting and controlling tools while helping optimize internal processes
• Supporting preparation of decision-making documents and contributing to cross-functional projects alongside senior leadership

What We're Looking For

Our client is seeking a candidate with the following qualifications:

• Currently enrolled at a German university in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Controlling, or a comparable field with at least one year remaining until graduation
• Strong analytical thinking skills with enthusiasm for presenting complex financial relationships in an understandable way
• Interest in digitalization, automation, and modern financial tools with a desire to apply theoretical knowledge in forward-thinking practice
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, or other data processing tools
• Fluent German language skills and confident business English communication
• Availability for 16-20 hours per week with flexible scheduling to accommodate exam periods
