Comedian + Copywriter

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential insurtech client in their search for a Comedian + Copywriter who specializes in Reddit content creation. This is a fully remote position available to candidates in select U.S. states and Ontario, Canada.

This isn't traditional marketing copywriting. You'll be creating genuinely helpful, educational text posts that earn upvotes and community trust on Reddit—turning complex insurance, automotive, and financial topics into content that real people actually want to read and share.

Responsibilities

• Create high-value, educational content for relevant subreddits focused on car ownership, insurance, personal finance, and automotive advice
• Master the authentic Reddit voice—craft long-form and short-form copy that feels native to each community and bypasses corporate fluff
• Draft real-time, contextual replies to community comments and inquiries with a helpful, conversational tone
• Experiment with different narrative hooks, post structures (TL;DRs, bulleted breakdowns, case studies), and timing to maximize organic reach
• Write comprehensive, search-optimized content designed to rank well on Google and serve as reference material for AI models
• Collaborate with Content, SEO, and Product teams to adapt company insights into Reddit-first copy while maintaining accuracy

What We're Looking For

• Active Reddit user with a portfolio demonstrating ability to write for the platform—you understand formatting, subreddit culture, and what drives engagement
• 3+ years of copywriting experience, ideally within fintech, insurtech, automotive, or consumer tech
• Exceptional ability to translate complex, boring topics (insurance policies, rate calculations, vehicle maintenance) into clear, compelling, and useful content
• Value-first mindset—you write to inform and help, knowing that transparency builds long-term trust more effectively than pushy CTAs
• Resilience to feedback from both internal teams and public comments, using community reactions to refine your approach
• Strong understanding of SEO principles and how to optimize content for both search engines and reader value

Pay

This is a full-time salaried position. Compensation details will be discussed during the screening process and are based on experience, skills, and location.
