About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential industrial AI company based in Munich that is revolutionizing how complex B2B sales processes work. Our client builds AI agents that handle the complete lifecycle of technical sales for industrial organizations—from extracting requirements to generating configuration recommendations across multiple systems.

This is a rare opportunity to join as an early product team member and shape both the platform architecture and product direction for a fast-growing company serving Europe's and the US industrial backbone.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision across all customer accounts, identifying patterns that represent genuine platform opportunities versus one-off customizations
  • Translate recurring customer patterns into scalable features while maintaining the discipline to reject requests that don't serve the broader platform strategy
  • Build and extend AI agents that automate complex technical sales functions—machine configuration, pricing for large infrastructure projects, multi-stakeholder communication workflows
  • Ship full-stack features end-to-end, from backend harness through user-facing interfaces that sales engineers actually use in production
  • Serve as the bridge between field deployment teams and core engineering, reviewing code contributions to ensure they strengthen rather than fragment the platform
  • Collect direct user feedback and translate insights into opinionated product decisions that compound over time
  • Define what gets built and what doesn't, defending those decisions to founders and customers with clear reasoning

What We're Looking For

Systems thinking in both directions: You can identify the underlying problem behind any feature request and hold a vision larger than what individual customers describe. Simultaneously, you see second-order effects—understanding that adding one configuration field means migrations on every deployment and additional complexity in every onboarding.

Demonstrable taste: You can show us things you've built and shipped that you're proud of, with clear opinions on what you deliberately excluded and why.

Strong technical fundamentals:

  • Production-grade proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or similar languages
  • Ability to write and review production code to high standards
  • Practical experience with AI engineering (agents, harnesses, evaluations, RAG)
  • Strong system design understanding or infrastructure knowledge

Proven ownership and initiative: A track record of owning outcomes—whether through founding a company, leading a student initiative, maintaining an open-source project, building serious side projects, or holding roles where you owned results others would have delegated.

Excitement about complex industrial problems: You can articulate why AI-powered technical sales for engineer-to-order manufacturers represents a significant business opportunity and find this problem space genuinely compelling.

Location: Munich-based role working with an early-stage team shaping industrial AI.
