Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales – German Defense & Intelligence

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential geospatial intelligence organization seeking a Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales – German Defense & Intelligence to join their Berlin team. In this role, you will design complex technical solutions that demonstrate the value of earth observation data and services to decision-makers within the German Defense and Intelligence community. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, bridging business challenges with cutting-edge geospatial capabilities.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Berlin, requiring three days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver presentations and product demonstrations highlighting platform technical capabilities and their alignment with customer business needs
• Develop trusted advisor relationships with customers' technical and management stakeholders
• Recommend solutions architectures that address specific business challenges in defense and intelligence contexts
• Craft technical responses to tenders, RFIs, RFPs, and unsolicited proposals
• Partner with sales colleagues to architect technical strategy across customer and prospect account plans
• Collaborate with Customer Success, Product Management, and Business Development teams to represent customer voice and assist with proposal preparation
• Achieve quarterly and annual sales and operational objectives
• Communicate forecasts, pipeline opportunities, deal reviews, CRM data, and customer feedback to leadership
• Present to key executive government stakeholders within the German government
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to team training materials

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience supporting the German Defense and Intelligence community in a technical capacity
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Ability to travel up to 25%, including internationally
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German
• Professional working proficiency in English
• Experience working with GIS and Remote Sensing users within the Defense industry
• Experience in IMINT, ISR, and related fields
• Hands-on experience with QGIS, SocetGXP, ArcGIS, GDAL, Python, and other geospatial software packages and programming languages
• Proven ability to design and present complex systems and solutions that bridge business problems and technology to meet organizational goals, budget, and scalability needs
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Capability to process imagery, manipulate geospatial data, interact with APIs, and build data pipelines
• Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility for a German security clearance (Sicherheitsüberprüfung)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Experience leading technical customer engagements and facilitating workshops or training sessions

Pay
