Senior Data Scientist

We are representing a confidential technology organization seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their team in Pakistan. Our client is building sophisticated data capabilities and needs an experienced professional who can lead machine learning initiatives, mentor team members, and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of data science projects from problem formulation through data collection, analysis, modeling, and deployment of machine learning models
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and translate them into actionable data science initiatives
• Develop and implement machine learning algorithms and statistical models to solve complex business challenges
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover insights and identify patterns in large, complex datasets
• Collaborate with data engineers to build robust and scalable data pipelines
• Evaluate and validate models using appropriate performance metrics and statistical techniques
• Present findings and insights to stakeholders in clear, concise formats
• Stay current with latest advancements and best practices in data science and machine learning
• Mentor and guide junior data scientists on the team

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience as a data scientist
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data mining
• Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and modeling
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or SQL
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
