Full-Stack Software Engineer, Internal Services

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential robotics organization that is scaling its autonomous delivery operations. Our client needs a Full-Stack Software Engineer, Internal Services to build and improve deployment tooling that supports safe, rapid software releases across their robotic fleet.

This role will report through Get A Job.ai's recruiting partnership, and qualified candidates may work remotely from the USA or Canada.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and maintain internal web services and user interfaces that support software release workflows for engineering, QA, and operations teams
• Deliver focused work on frontend, backend, cloud infrastructure, and embedded software integration
• Collaborate with teammates across the entire software lifecycle—design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operations
• Add and improve observability across deployment experiences, including real-time status, logs, timelines, and audit trails to simplify rollout monitoring and debugging
• Strengthen CI/CD, automated testing, and release safety checks to improve deployment confidence and reduce operational risk
• Contribute to deployment governance features such as auditability, role-based access controls, and privileged action tracking
• Write production-quality, maintainable code and provide thoughtful pull request feedback that improves engineering standards
• Support production rollouts and release operations as needed; participate in the on-call rotation for internal services
• Deliver quality software with and without GenAI assistance

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with meaningful ownership of production systems, internal tools, or other high-visibility software projects
• Strong backend experience with Node.js or TypeScript-based services
• Strong frontend experience with TypeScript and a modern web framework (Vue preferred; React experience also acceptable)
• Experience working with cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, testing, and supporting production software with strong attention to reliability and maintainability
• Demonstrated ability to own problem areas end-to-end, work through ambiguity, and maintain momentum on cross-functional projects
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including ability to pair program regularly, work closely with stakeholders, and adapt when priorities shift
• Willingness to provide candid, respectful technical feedback in code reviews and design discussions
• Practical, detail-oriented engineering mindset with strong testing instincts and careful consideration of downstream impacts

Preferred:

• Experience with deployment systems, release tooling, feature flags, fleet management, or internal developer platforms
• Experience building or supporting CI/CD workflows, ideally with GitHub Actions or similar systems
• Experience with scheduling, observability, audit trails, access control, or rollout governance features
• Experience with GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes, or related infrastructure for operating internal platforms at scale
• Experience supporting software used by multiple internal personas, especially engineering, QA, and operations teams
• Track record of improving test coverage, structured logging, metrics, or tracing in operationally critical systems
• Comfort working in fast-moving environments with a bias for action and personal ownership

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai for candidates based in Canada: $115,000 - $160,000 CAD (Base). Compensation for US-based candidates will be discussed during the screening process and varies based on location, experience, and role alignment.
