About This Role

Our talent team is representing a confidential education organization based in Berlin that delivers professional upskilling programs. We're seeking a (Senior) Course Operations Manager to take full operational responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of their training courses across multiple German cities.

You'll be the central point of contact ensuring smooth course operations from day one through completion, coordinating between internal teams, external partners, and participants. This role combines hands-on execution with strategic process improvement in a fast-paced environment where multiple stakeholders depend on your organization and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end course operations: Own the seamless execution of training programs from start to finish, ensuring operational deadlines are met across all stakeholder groups and quickly resolving any last-minute issues
  • Multi-location management: Serve as the central contact for physical locations in Berlin, Hamburg, Bielefeld, and Munich; maintain relationships with on-site contacts and drive location scaling initiatives
  • Process optimization: Regularly review existing workflows to identify opportunities for optimization, automation, or streamlining; maintain user-oriented documentation of current processes
  • Project leadership: Transform identified improvements into concrete projects with internal and external participants; manage projects through to successful completion
  • Vendor management: Coordinate external partners including co-working spaces, educational publishers, and certification bodies; negotiate contracts and ensure their work contributes to successful course delivery
  • Stakeholder communication: Translate between departments and participants, explaining solutions clearly so all parties feel well-informed and supported

What We're Looking For

  • Education: Completed university degree or professional training in business, social sciences, or natural sciences
  • Experience: Multiple years of practical experience in dynamic startup or scale-up environments, ideally including multi-stakeholder projects and operations roles
  • Problem-solving ability: You quickly understand different perspectives, proactively find independent solutions, and turn problem-focused thinking into solution-oriented action
  • Hands-on execution: Comfortable diving into operational tasks, taking on short-notice responsibilities, and working with variety in a small team environment
  • Project management: You structure complex projects, coordinate closely with stakeholders to meet deadlines, prioritize independently, and keep multiple workstreams moving simultaneously
  • Communication skills: Strong ability to quickly understand problems and explain solutions in simple terms that make all participants feel heard
  • Agility: You adapt quickly to new circumstances and thrive in flexible environments where you shift between strategic and tactical altitudes
  • Technical proficiency: You learn new tools quickly and use them confidently; eager to develop AI skills and find ways to work more efficiently
  • Language: Business-fluent German written and spoken (minimum C1 level)

Pay

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Berlin with hybrid work (3 days per week in office including 2 fixed team days). The role offers 30 days annual leave and workation options.
