Head Chef

Position Summary

We're seeking an experienced Head Chef to oversee kitchen operations at our Kings Park venue. You'll be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation whilst managing a dedicated culinary team. Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and oversee all food production to ensure quality, taste, and presentation standards
• Lead and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and professional working environment
• Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
• Control food costs and manage inventory effectively to maintain profitability
• Develop creative menu ideas and specials that align with Greene King's brand and guest preferences
• Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and report any faults or maintenance needs
• Train and develop team members, including conducting inductions and ongoing coaching
• Collaborate with front-of-house management to deliver outstanding customer experiences

Requirements

• Extensive experience working as a Head Chef or senior kitchen leader in a restaurant or pub setting
• Proven ability to manage a kitchen team and maintain high standards under pressure
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu development
• Excellent understanding of health and safety requirements, including food hygiene certification
• Outstanding organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required
• Passion for developing talent and creating a positive team culture
