Kitchen Assistant

Greene King is seeking an enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team in Perth, Perth and Kinross. This is a part-time position supporting our kitchen operations and contributing to the excellent food and drink experience our guests expect.

About the Role

As a Kitchen Assistant at our Perth venue, you'll be a key member of the kitchen team, working alongside experienced chefs and kitchen staff. You'll support daily food preparation and kitchen operations, helping maintain the standards that make Greene King a trusted name across the UK. This part-time role offers flexible hours and an ideal opportunity if you're starting out in hospitality or looking to develop your culinary foundation skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, prep areas, and equipment
• Support the kitchen team by restocking supplies and managing waste responsibly
• Follow food hygiene and health and safety procedures at all times
• Assist with the washing and care of kitchen equipment and utensils
• Support the smooth running of the kitchen during service periods

What You Bring

• Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Reliability and punctuality, especially for your scheduled shifts
• Basic understanding of food hygiene and health and safety, or willingness to complete training
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from kitchen managers
• Physical fitness to handle the demands of kitchen work, including standing for extended periods
• Attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
