Junior Software Engineer (m/w/d) — KI-gestützte Entwicklung

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential SaaS client in Hamburg that is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join their growing technical team. In this role, you will start where real product knowledge is built: onboarding new customers, providing production support, and resolving bugs. You'll work closely with senior engineering leadership and progressively grow into a full development role.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Onboarding new customers: setup, configuration, and integrations
• Automating recurring onboarding tasks to make the process scalable
• Production support: investigating and resolving issues using code, logs, and data analysis
• Implementing, testing, and releasing bugfixes and smaller features
• Contributing to cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines: deployments, Kubernetes, monitoring
• Learning to guide AI agents and critically review generated code
• With growing experience: independent development of product features

What We're Looking For

Our client is looking for candidates with:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent vocational training with a strong portfolio
• Solid programming fundamentals from university projects, internships, or personal work
• Attention to detail, curiosity, and openness to feedback
• Fluent German (customers are German-speaking), good English
• Technical stack includes Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, LangGraph, React, TypeScript, Twilio, and Kubernetes—prior experience is not required

This role offers mentoring in AI-assisted development and hands-on learning in operating distributed production systems with real customers: modern architectures, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and agentic systems. You'll follow a clear growth path from support into product development.
