Python Backend Engineer (m/f/x)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization at the forefront of sustainable product development and supply chain transparency. Our talent team is seeking Python Backend Engineers to join a remote team across the EU. This is a permanent position working with enterprise clients who are transforming how they approach product lifecycle management and environmental responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Gather functional requirements directly from enterprise customers
• Build efficient, data-powered REST APIs using Python
• Develop end-to-end data pipelines and integrate AI models to support API functionality
• Collaborate with UX designers to translate requirements into technical implementation
• Work closely with front-end engineers to ensure seamless API integration
• Contribute to testing, debugging, and maintaining code quality across the platform

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years of experience as a Python backend developer, with at least 2 years in a B2B environment
• Strong communication skills and comfort speaking directly with customers to understand technical requirements
• Hands-on experience with Python frameworks such as Flask or Bottle
• Proficiency with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and RESTful API design
• Solid understanding of databases and SQL; experience with graph databases is preferred
• Demonstrated experience building data pipelines handling complex data structures
• Background working with large, enterprise-grade applications
• Based in the EU and eligible to work remotely from Germany or other European locations
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
