About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential client in the interior design and construction sector, based in Munich. They are seeking an experienced Team Lead Project Management Interior Fit-Out/FF&E to oversee high-value commercial interior projects from conception through completion.
This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in the Munich office with 1–2 days available for home office work. Native-level German (C2) is essential for this position.
Responsibilities
- Lead interior fit-out projects including furniture, fixtures, and equipment from kick-off through handover, managing budgets of €0.8–3.0 million per project
- Oversee project teams of 5–10 people, ensuring accountability for budget, schedule, and quality targets
- Develop and implement comprehensive project, logistics, and assembly concepts in a structured manner
- Coordinate tendering and contracting processes with purchasing, ensuring clear scope definition, bid comparability, and thorough documentation
- Monitor schedules and costs through reliable forecasting, target/actual comparison, risk management, and milestone tracking
- Serve as the central interface between construction management, internal departments, and external trades to ensure smooth project execution
- Manage change orders and amendments transparently, assessing cost and schedule impacts and preparing decision-making documentation
- Maintain professional client communication throughout all project phases, including status reporting and acceptance procedures
- Identify and implement process optimization opportunities across projects and establish standards for efficiency
- Utilize project database tools and management software to ensure transparency, documentation, and data flow automation
What We're Looking For
- At least 5 years of leadership experience managing project teams of 5–10 people
- Deep expertise in hotel construction or comparable large-scale commercial interior fit-out projects (hospitality, retail, or similar)
- Proven success managing complex construction or fit-out projects with multiple trades and usage concepts
- Completed vocational training or university degree in interior design, wood technology, civil engineering, or comparable qualification
- Strong cost and quality awareness with demonstrated ability to generate accurate forecasts
- Confident, professional demeanor when interacting with clients, management, and project stakeholders
- Solution-oriented communication style with excellent process optimization skills
- Structured and meticulous work approach with thorough documentation habits and ability to maintain composure under tight deadlines
- Proficient use of MS Office (particularly Excel) and ERP systems
- Knowledge of VOB and works contract law is advantageous
- Native-level German (C2) is mandatory
- Willingness to explore creative and unconventional approaches to project challenges
