Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential aerospace manufacturing organization in the Kempten area seeking a Deputy Quality Manager to join their team. This newly created position offers direct involvement in safety-critical products and a clear pathway into leadership within a small, focused quality team of 2 direct reports.

• Drive the development and implementation of quality standards aligned with international norms including EN 9100, ISO 9001, and EASA Part 21G/145
• Serve as deputy head of quality management and coordinate internal and external audits, including follow-up measures and corrective action tracking
• Optimize the process landscape to ensure efficiency and currency of quality-relevant workflows
• Support development and change projects in close collaboration with technical teams
• Act as primary interface with regulatory authorities, customers, and group partners during audits and quality-related matters
• Initiate new quality initiatives and drive continuous improvement of existing processes

What We're Looking For

• Technical degree or equivalent qualification with relevant professional experience in quality management
• Hands-on experience with international quality standards and regulations, preferably from aviation or high-tech manufacturing environments
• Auditor knowledge already in place, or willingness to pursue certification
• Strong methodological competence: 8D, 5Why, Ishikawa, Root Cause Analysis
• Experience working within international corporate structures and technically oriented environments
• Fluent communication skills in German and English; additional languages are advantageous
• Analytical thinking, structured work approach, and confident presence when engaging with internal and external stakeholders
