About This Opportunity

We are representing a leading analytics and product intelligence platform in their search for a Customer Engineer to join their pre-sales organization. This is a fully remote role open to candidates anywhere in the world.

As a Customer Engineer, you'll own the technical journey from initial discovery through proof of concept, ensuring prospects see clear technical fit before committing resources. You'll work closely with sales on new business and expansion opportunities, then hand off seamlessly to delivery teams for post-sale activation.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions to understand prospect business challenges, technical environments, and requirements before committing to proofs of concept
• Design and deliver tailored demonstrations that connect platform capabilities to specific business outcomes
• Establish technical fit by confirming the prospect's technology stack aligns and scoping what a meaningful evaluation requires
• Own competitive technical positioning against major analytics platforms and warehouse-native alternatives
• Run structured POCs with defined success criteria, named focus metrics, and comprehensive handoff documentation for delivery teams
• Return post-sale for cross-sell and strategic expansion opportunities requiring new technical evaluations
• Partner with Account Executives on deal strategy, technical objection handling, and expansion planning
• Maintain close collaboration with delivery engineers to ensure POC designs reflect production realities

What We're Looking For

• 2–4+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or technical pre-sales roles at B2B SaaS companies
• Technical foundation in data analytics, event tracking, APIs, data warehouses, or related domains
• Commercial instinct with a clear understanding that winning deals requires outcome-oriented work
• Demonstrated ability to run structured POCs with measurable success criteria and outcomes
• Clear, compelling communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Competitive knowledge of the analytics landscape, or ability to develop it quickly
• Collaborative mindset with accountability and drive to execute
