Roadrunner
Roadrunner is recruiting independent CDL A Owner Operator Drivers to operate in the Grand Central, Manhattan region. This is a full-time contracting position that puts control of your business directly in your hands—from load selection to route planning and home time management.
Role Overview
As a CDL A Owner Operator Driver with Roadrunner, you'll build and operate your own trucking business on our platform. Unlike traditional trucking companies, Roadrunner is structured entirely around owner operators who maintain complete autonomy over their operations. You'll have the ability to select which loads you want to haul, determine your routes, and set your own home time schedule. With earning potential up to $12,000 per week for team operations or up to $4,000 per week for solo drivers, you can scale your business based on your ambitions. Roadrunner also offers health insurance plans to help you protect yourself and your family while you build your independent operation.
Responsibilities
- Operate a CDL A vehicle safely and professionally, transporting freight across assigned routes
- Select and manage loads that align with your business goals and schedule
- Plan efficient routes and maintain accurate delivery timelines
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding load status and delivery windows
- Maintain compliance with all DOT regulations, hours of service requirements, and Roadrunner policies
- Keep detailed records of mileage, fuel, maintenance, and business expenses
Who We're Looking For
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience operating a commercial truck or strong trucking background
- Self-motivated and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to manage your own business
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
- Ability to work independently and make sound business decisions
More About Roadrunner
Roadrunner operates on a fundamentally different model than traditional trucking companies. There are no company drivers sharing your freight lanes, no competition for available loads, and no forced dispatch decisions imposed on your business. Instead, you maintain complete control over which jobs you accept and how you run your operation. This owner-operator-first approach means you're supported by a platform built to help independent drivers succeed, not constrained by corporate layers or competing incentives.
