ICBD is hiring a Part-Time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT/BT) to deliver Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children across the Hartford, Hartford County area of Connecticut. About the Role

As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT/BT) with ICBD, working alongside ABA Centers of Connecticut, you will provide one-on-one, evidence-based behavioral therapy to young clients. This part-time position is ideal for compassionate individuals who want hands-on experience in the growing field of autism care, with a clear path for professional advancement. No prior ABA background is required — we will train the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized ABA treatment plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
  • Deliver direct, one-on-one therapy sessions to children in a supportive setting.
  • Collect and record accurate behavioral data during each session.
  • Teach communication, social, and daily-living skills through positive reinforcement.
  • Collaborate with supervising analysts and families to track progress and adjust strategies.

Qualifications

  • A genuine passion for working with and supporting children.
  • Reliability, patience, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn ABA techniques — training is provided for new BTs.
  • RBT certification is a plus; non-certified candidates will be trained toward the role.
  • Availability for a part-time schedule in the Hartford, Hartford County region.

Compensation

  • Starting rate of $21.25 per hour for Behavior Technicians (BTs).
  • Starting rate of $23.50 per hour for Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs).
  • $1,000 sign-on bonus.
  • Final pay is based on each candidate's experience, training, and educational credentials.
