ICBD is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT/BT) in Arlington, Arlington County, to deliver compassionate, evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children on the autism spectrum. About the Role

As a Registered Behavior Technician with ICBD in Arlington, you will work directly with individuals diagnosed with autism, carrying out personalized treatment plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This is an on-site position focused on teaching skills, encouraging positive behavior, and supporting each client's progress through structured, play-based learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized ABA programs developed and overseen by a supervising BCBA.
  • Provide one-on-one therapy and skill-building sessions to clients on the autism spectrum.
  • Record accurate session data on client behavior and progress toward goals.
  • Use positive reinforcement and ABA techniques to encourage adaptive behaviors.
  • Communicate observations with the clinical team and contribute to plan adjustments.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for every client.

Qualifications

  • Active RBT certification, or eligibility to work as a Behavior Technician (BT) pursuing certification.
  • Genuine interest in working with children and individuals with autism.
  • Patience, reliability, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to follow clinical direction and complete required documentation.

Compensation

  • RBT starting rate: $24.60 per hour.
  • BT starting rate: $22.25 per hour.
  • Referral bonus: $500 for referring an RBT.
  • Referral bonus: $5,000 for referring a BCBA.
  • Final pay is determined by experience, training, and education.
