Patient Advocate Representative (Inside Sales)

ICBD is hiring a full-time Patient Advocate Representative (Inside Sales) in Miami, Miami-Dade County. This position offers a base salary of $60,000–$70,000 annually with bonus opportunities, plus the chance to support patients and providers in substance use disorder, mental health, and autism care.

What This Role Involves

As a Patient Advocate Representative in Inside Sales, you'll be the bridge between healthcare providers and their patients, combining genuine advocacy with consultative sales. Working in the substance use disorder, mental health, and autism care sectors, you'll help medical organizations streamline billing processes, improve patient communication, and ensure patients receive clear support navigating their healthcare costs and coverage.

Core Duties

• Respond to patient and provider questions about medical billing, insurance coverage, and account resolution
• Advocate on behalf of patients working through billing challenges and insurance explanations
• Build and nurture relationships with healthcare providers in substance use disorder, mental health, and autism specialties
• Present billing solutions to prospective clients, explaining how they reduce administrative burden and improve patient satisfaction
• Coordinate between billing departments and patients to resolve account issues and billing inquiries
• Meet inside sales targets while maintaining genuine commitment to patient advocacy and provider success

Qualifications

• Experience in inside sales, patient advocacy, or healthcare customer service roles
• Strong communication skills and ability to clearly explain complex billing and insurance concepts
• Genuine interest in supporting patients in substance use disorder, mental health, or autism care
• Proficiency with CRM systems and standard business software
• Background in medical billing, insurance claims, or healthcare administration is a plus
