ERM is seeking an experienced Construction Safety Specialist (Field Based) to deliver hands-on environmental, health, and safety (EHS) support at an active pharmaceutical construction project in Lebanon, IN. This is a full-time, field-based role based out of Indianapolis, Marion County.
About the Role
As a Construction Safety Specialist with ERM, you will be embedded on-site to safeguard workers and operations throughout the construction lifecycle of a major pharmaceutical client. Your day-to-day presence in the field ensures that construction activities are carried out in line with applicable EHS regulations and ERM's established company standards, helping to build a culture where safety comes first.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site observations of construction activities through an EHS lens, identifying hazards before they escalate.
- Verify that work performed meets applicable federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
- Uphold and reinforce existing company and client safety standards across the project site.
- Support the client team in fostering a proactive, accountable safety environment for all personnel.
- Document field findings and communicate compliance concerns to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience as a construction safety or EHS professional, preferably in field-based settings.
- Working knowledge of construction safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Ability to be present full-time on an active construction site in Lebanon, IN, near Indianapolis.
- Strong observational, communication, and reporting skills suited to a fast-moving project environment.
