What This Role Involves

As a Maintenance Technician with CONAM Careers in Cardiff, you'll be central to our property's day-to-day operations. In this full-time position, you'll diagnose and resolve maintenance issues across apartment units and common areas, respond to resident requests, and perform both emergency and preventive repairs. Your work directly impacts resident satisfaction and the property's long-term value.

Core Duties

• Repair and maintain apartment interiors and community facilities, including appliances, plumbing, fixtures, and structures
• Service and troubleshoot heating, cooling, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and management
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections to identify issues early
• Maintain grounds, landscaping, and exterior common areas
• Document work completed, materials used, and time spent on each repair
• Ensure all repairs and procedures meet safety codes and local regulations

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on experience in apartment or residential property maintenance
• Solid understanding of building systems—plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and appliances
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot problems independently
• Professional communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
