The New York Foundling
The New York Foundling is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Trinity, Manhattan. As a DSP, you'll provide compassionate, hands-on support to the individuals and families we serve, helping them build the skills and confidence needed to thrive.

Core Duties
- Provide direct support and assistance with daily living activities
- Help individuals develop and practice essential life skills
- Document observations, progress, and activities accurately and timely
- Support participants in attending appointments, community outings, and scheduled activities
- Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure coordinated, person-centered care
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment
- Respond compassionately to individual needs and concerns
Who We're Looking For
- Genuine empathy and patience when working with vulnerable populations
- Reliability and commitment to showing up consistently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to individual needs
- High school diploma or equivalent (or relevant lived or professional experience)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
