DSP – Thieriot Avenue

The New York Foundling is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Trinity, Manhattan. As a DSP, you'll provide compassionate, hands-on support to the individuals and families we serve, helping them build the skills and confidence needed to thrive.

Core Duties

• Provide direct support and assistance with daily living activities
• Help individuals develop and practice essential life skills
• Document observations, progress, and activities accurately and timely
• Support participants in attending appointments, community outings, and scheduled activities
• Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure coordinated, person-centered care
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment
• Respond compassionately to individual needs and concerns

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to individual needs
• High school diploma or equivalent (or relevant lived or professional experience)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
