WSP USA is hiring a full-time Project Manager & Seller/Doer for Natural Resources and Environmental Permitting at our Brentwood, Williamson County office. This leadership role combines hands-on project delivery with business development to drive growth across our environmental permitting and natural resources practice.
What This Role Involves
You'll manage high-impact environmental and natural resources projects while actively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within your region. This is a hands-on position that bridges technical project execution with strategic sales activities, requiring you to serve as both project leader and business development professional. You'll work directly with clients navigating complex regulatory landscapes and internal teams delivering permitting solutions.
What You'll Do
- Lead project planning, execution, and delivery for environmental permitting and natural resources assignments
- Manage client relationships and serve as primary point of contact throughout project lifecycles
- Develop and present proposals and scope documents to prospective clients in the natural resources sector
- Identify market opportunities and cultivate new business growth within the environmental and natural resources permitting space
- Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure profitable delivery
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and collaborate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders
- Contribute technical expertise in environmental compliance and permitting processes
Requirements
- Proven experience managing environmental or natural resources projects
- Demonstrated success in business development or client acquisition within environmental consulting or permitting
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and permitting processes at federal and state levels
- Excellent project management and organizational capabilities
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships with stakeholders and agencies
- Self-motivated, proactive approach to identifying and pursuing growth opportunities
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, business, or related field preferred
