The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking an experienced Trimmer to join our utility line clearance division serving Hudson and surrounding communities. What You'll Do

• Trim, prune, and remove trees and vegetation from utility rights-of-way to maintain safe clearance distances from power lines and infrastructure
• Operate climbing equipment, rigging gear, and safety systems to access and work safely at height
• Use power tools, handsaws, and specialized equipment to complete daily cutting and removal assignments
• Assess tree species, health, and growth patterns to determine appropriate pruning or removal methods
• Follow all ANSI safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company protocols for utility line work
• Transport equipment and materials to job sites; operate company vehicles as assigned
• Coordinate with crew members and supervisors to ensure safety and efficiency on multi-person work teams

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a trimmer, line clearance specialist, or equivalent arboriculture background
• Climbing experience strongly preferred
• Valid US driver's license; Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred
• Physical ability to work at heights, lift heavy equipment, and perform demanding manual labor consistently
• Working knowledge of utility line clearance practices, hazards, and industry standards
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and risk awareness
• Ability to work effectively as an independent contributor and collaborative team member
