About the Role

This is a full-time teaching position with Wichita Public School, where you'll guide third-grade students through foundational academic skills while fostering curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning. What You'll Do

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in core subjects including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and can thrive
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress, challenges, and achievements
• Collaborate with school staff, support specialists, and district resources to meet individual student needs
• Participate in professional development and contribute to school improvement initiatives
• Work under the supervision of your school's administrative team to fulfill daily instructional and operational responsibilities

What We're Looking For

• Valid Kansas teaching certification or eligibility for third-grade instruction
• Strong knowledge of elementary curriculum and age-appropriate teaching practices
• Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and address their individual needs with professionalism and empathy
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and families
• Commitment to student-centered instruction and continuous professional growth
