About the Role

As Division Vice President of Land Acquisition, you'll lead all aspects of our land acquisition strategy and execution for the Boise division. Sekisui House US operates a diverse portfolio of esteemed homebuilding brands—SHAWOOD, Richmond American Homes, Woodside Homes, Holt Homes, Hubble Homes, and Chesmar Homes—and your role will be central to identifying, evaluating, and acquiring the high-quality land that fuels our growth across the region.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute comprehensive land acquisition strategy aligned with divisional and corporate growth objectives
  • Evaluate potential land opportunities through detailed market analysis, financial modeling, and feasibility assessments
  • Lead negotiations with landowners, developers, and third-party partners to secure prime acquisition opportunities
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with brokers, municipalities, and industry stakeholders
  • Oversee land portfolio management to optimize returns and align with company standards
  • Direct and mentor a team of acquisition professionals to drive consistent execution and excellence
  • Present land acquisition recommendations and market insights to senior leadership for informed decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and legal requirements throughout the acquisition process

What We're Looking For

  • Proven track record in commercial real estate, land acquisition, or real estate development—preferably in homebuilding
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in land acquisition, business development, or related leadership roles
  • Demonstrated expertise in market analysis, financial modeling, and investment decision-making
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholder groups
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams in competitive markets
  • Knowledge of homebuilding industry trends, regulatory landscapes, and market dynamics
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Familiarity with the Boise, Ada County, or broader Idaho real estate market is a plus
