Security Site Supervisor – College Campus Residences

Role Overview

Barbier Security Group is seeking an experienced Security Site Supervisor to manage daily operations and lead the security team at a college campus residence community in Oakland. You'll oversee personnel, enforce safety protocols, and maintain the operational excellence that clients depend on. Your decisions and leadership directly shape the security experience and well-being of student residents and the broader campus community.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and mentor security personnel, providing training, coaching, and performance evaluation
• Conduct regular patrols and visual inspections of residential facilities, entrances, and perimeter areas
• Manage access control systems, monitor surveillance equipment, and respond to security alerts
• Document and investigate security incidents, emergencies, and resident concerns with detailed reporting
• Coordinate with campus administration, residential staff, and emergency responders to resolve issues
• Schedule security staff shifts and optimize coverage to meet residential campus needs
• Enforce fire safety regulations, security protocols, and company policies across all operational hours
• Maintain compliance with applicable security standards and client contractual requirements

Qualifications

• Prior experience in security operations, law enforcement, military service, or related field
• Proven supervisory or leadership experience managing teams or personnel
• Knowledge of access control systems, surveillance technology, and security protocols
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to handle incidents calmly, assess situations critically, and make sound decisions
• Valid California driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Ability and willingness to pass a thorough background investigation and security clearance
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
