About the Role

This full-time faculty position focuses on delivering comprehensive instruction in automation and industrial technology. You'll take ownership of course development, program evaluation, and student success while building meaningful partnerships between the college and the regional industrial sector.

What You'll Do

• Teach automation and industrial technology courses, blending theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on instruction
• Design, develop, and refine curriculum for existing and newly created courses within the program
• Assess student learning outcomes and evaluate program effectiveness to drive continuous improvement
• Advise and mentor students on academic progress, course selection, and career pathways in automation and industrial fields
• Collaborate with colleagues through department meetings and participation in college-wide committees
• Engage with industry advisory partners to ensure curriculum remains current, relevant, and aligned with workplace demands
• Foster connections between the college and regional employers in automation, manufacturing, and related sectors

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience and credentials in automation, industrial technology, electrical systems, mechanical engineering, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience teaching, training, or instructing in automation, industrial systems, PLC programming, or related technologies
• Strong knowledge of automation hardware, software platforms, and industry-standard tools and systems
• Commitment to curriculum development and evidence-based teaching practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and industry stakeholders
• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in an academic, collegial environment
